It is certainly no surprise that the grape varieties found throughout the world found in Casa Sola their excellent expression. Since 1987 in Casa Sola the Cabernet and Merlot – varieties which are well known and appreciated throughout the world for the powerful and soft tannins which are present in their fruits- combined with the Sangiovese give life our Montarsiccio. It is a widely appreciated “Supertuscan” with deep aromas and a velvety structure. Savoury and spicy with subtle earthy notes that complement the sweet cherry and plum fruit. Lovely balance. A wine with an extremely long aging potential.  A must to enhance your gourmet meal.

Production method

Cabernet – Merlot – Sangiovese is a classic composition used in many of the so-called “Super Tuscan” wines. This assemblage combine the power and the structure of the Cabernet Sauvignon, the sweet juicy flavors of the Merlot and the rustic cherry-berry notes of the Sangiovese. The grapes come exclusively from the vineyards of Montarsiccio. First vintage 1987. Aging 30 months in barrique and 30 months in bottle for a total of 5 long years.
